Model Makers - posted 06-05-08

  We are seeking experienced and motivated Model Makers with a minimum of 5 years experience to join our team.   The individual needs to possess design, artistic, and modeling skills.

The ideal candidate should have proven experience in the following areas:

• Ultra-fine model detail
• Final finishing
• Painting
• Polishing and assembly of a variety of materials (ABS, Aluminum, Acrylic, SLA, Urethanes, etc.)
• Custom color mixing of urethane paints
• Ability to use a variety of shop tools including but not limited to:
  Table Saw, Band Saw, Woodworking tools, Lathe, Vacuum Forming
• Strong computer background and previous experience working with engineering files/databases
• Superior verbal and written communication skills.  Previous leadership experience is a plus.

This candidate will be responsible for creating high quality prototypes in a timely fashion from design drawings and engineering databases.  This individual needs to be able to effectively communicate issues or concerns as well as suggest improvements to project leaders. They must be able to work independently or as part of a team and have the desire to take part in a fast paced and a challenging work environment.
